RECENT WINS
Lantana continues to add to its impressive list of clients. See who’s being
added to the Lantana family of customers and the solutions that they’ve chosen
to run their business.
SMITH COUNTY
Congratulations to Jeff Roberts who recently won the Smith County
converged data business, and welcome to Smith County as they enter the Lantana
family of customers. Smith County recently partnered with Lantana to install the
Avaya 8720 Media Server, an S8500 Enterprise Survival Server and 12 Avaya
Gateways.
“We’re
excited about our new partnership with Smith County and look forward
to working with Smith County for years,”
Jeff
Roberts
Smith County’s Account Executive
Why did Lantana win the project? We offered the best solution at the best price,
and our local service and support guarantee.
Smith County has a total of 13 locations, with five main locations (including
the courthouse) in downtown Tyler. These offices were supported by a SW Bell
Centrex system that was 25 years old and in need of updating.
The County released an RFP to replace the Centrex service with communications
equipment at all 13 locations that would enable the locations to be on the same
system and same dialing plan. Some of the features that the county required
included:
- Centralized voicemail
- Centralized call tracking
- Other advanced features of an IP telephony communications
network.
After an initial vendor conference, five vendors were invited to submit
proposals for the project, and Lantana won the work. The project is scheduled to
be complete in September.
