Job Title: Sales Manager Converged Communications
Location: Arlington, TX
To be successful in this position, the right candidate should possess the following experience/skills:
- A demonstrated record of success working effectively with customers in the telecom services and converged communication environment
- A demonstrated record of success leading teams
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Ability to work independently while managing and prioritizing varying deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent coaching skills in a technical environment
Duties/Responsibilities: To manage day to day activities of a converged communications sales force including but not limited:
- Meet/Exceed Corporate Business Plan revenue and gross margin numbers
- Build, maintain and direct an efficient, well-trained and effective sales organization
- Develop and manage proper tools to clearly outline sales performance and set sales standards
- Develop and implement sales and marketing plans to grow market share and profitability
- Manage personal development programs that will attract and hold competent personnel
- Develop and recommend to the Vice President, for approval, policies and programs relating to:
- Size and type of sales organization
- Product lines
- Distribution channels
- Pricing
- Sales objectives by product line and service offerings
- Compensation levels
- Personnel development budgets
- Sales department budgets
- Sales Promotion Activities
- Credit Policies
- New product and services opportunities
Required Skills and Experience:
- College degree from 4 year university with at least 3 years Sales Management experience in enterprise converged communication marketplace
- Sales experience with at least one of the major manufacturer’s: Avaya, Nortel, Cisco, ShoreTel, Mitel/Intertel, 3Com
- In depth understanding of Convergence/IP telephony in the enterprise market
- In depth understanding for both system and application sales
- Ability to work with and communicate with diverse personalities and departments including operations, finance, HR and senior management
- Major Account management skills and success
